Backyard Gardens, LLC started in Vicki Marietta’s backyard garden and kitchen. She made the hot pepper mustards from an old fashioned recipe that many folks in our area use, but altered it to her taste by adding her hot peppers. She gave this away to her friends—they gave it to friends and soon everyone wanted more. When her friends started telling her that they would pay her to make the mustard for them, she thought, "Why not?"

In June 2008, the entrepreneur’s Backyard Gardens Store was opened next to Reilly’s Coffee in the Ohiopyle-Stewart Community Center just steps away from the Falls area. Here you will find Backyard Gardens Mustards: Sweet Banana Pepper, Hot Banana Pepper, Jalapeño Pepper, and Habanera Pepper AND Wing/BBQ Sauces: Hot Banana Pepper and Jalapeno Pepper.
