Marci Lynn McGuinness, Author and Publisher, Shore Publications, of Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania, cordially invites you to invite her into your school, club meeting or organization event. She is waiving her speaking fee for 2009.

McGuinness, author of over 20 books-many on regional history-has recently launched Yesteryear in Ohiopyle and Surrounding Communities, Volume III and released the third printing of Yesteryear at the Unointown Speedway, November, 2008.

1.“Gone to Ohiopyle”  (Graphic Historical Novel to be released Spring 2009). Chief Nemacolin, George Washington, General Braddock, Tom Fossit, Andrew Stewart and Frank Lloyd Wright star in this action-packed, colorful tale of how Western Pennsylvania, and specifically, Ohiopyle, was explored and developed into the world famous destination it is today.

2. “Publishing 101” takes attendees from idea, through organization, writing, editing and the book production/publishing process. Includes “Why marketing is the first step to publishing.” An in-depth look at book publishing.

3. Yesteryear at the Uniontown Speedway – Relive the amazing Summit Mountain Hill Climbs of 1913 – 1915. Burn rubber at the Uniontown Speedway Boardtrack with the most famous drivers in the country, 1916 – 1922. Join the Chevrolet brothers, Henry Ford, Barney Oldfield, George Titlow and more at one of the most exciting tracks in early automobile racing.

4. Yesteryear in Ohiopyle and Surrounding Communities – the creation of the Yesteryear series, a look at Volumes I through III, and discussion about what it takes to put a Yesteryear book together for your locale.
