I started writing stories when I was 6, 64 years ago. I write because I must. Creativity challenges my imagination every day and I am extremely thankful for this gift. I am a 2019 ScreenwritingU graduate.

   I am working on my 47th published book, but 51st completed book, due to ghostwriting memoirs for private clients. I have also published magazines.

   I have also written six feature screenplays and a Horror short.

1. SPEED KING, the feature documentary of the Uniontown Speedway board track and the coal barons who ran it asfighting roared in WWI Europe, coming Autumn 2026.​

2. To Ohiopyle With Love, McGuinness' documentary on Ohiopyle's wild history is now in progress and due out early 2027.
