The Ohiopyle Hotel is center stage in my romance novel, Andy & Liz, An Ohiopyle Love Story.
Andy and Liz traveled by horse to their favorite hideaway and paradise along the wild Youghiogheny River. They started buying property from the Revolutionary War soldiers who had been given the land as pay.
Soon they turned an old barn into a hotel, built a grist mill, and welcomed the railroad to their town. Visitors filled the hotel, so to getaway, Andy & Liz often made love under the falls.
