Over 35 years ago, I was asked to write the history of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania for Scene Magazine. I soon published a Yesteryear in Ohiopyle photo calendar and 2 months later, a pictorial coffee table book, Yesteryear in Ohiopyle (1993).
Congressman Andrew Stewart, left, brought the B & O Railroad (1871) to the mountain paradise, built a hotel and town, and created the first tourist boom here along the Youghioghey River in the 1800's. I have written about him in many books and he is the inspiration for Andy & Liz, An Ohiopyle Love Story.
